What We Treat

Dental emergencies we handle the same day

Most dental emergencies get worse โ€” and more expensive โ€” the longer they wait. That's exactly why we keep slots open on the days other offices are closed. If any of these sound like your weekend, call us:

  • ๐Ÿฆท
Severe or throbbing toothache. Often a cavity, cracked tooth, or infected nerve. Here's what to do about tooth pain while you head in.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฅ
Broken, chipped, or knocked-out tooth. A knocked-out permanent tooth is minute-by-minute โ€” follow these steps to save a knocked-out tooth and call on your way.
  • ๐Ÿ”ด
Abscess, swelling, or a bad taste. Signs of infection that won't resolve on their own โ€” see why pain that won't go away needs treatment.
  • ๐Ÿ‘‘
Lost or loose crown or filling. We can usually re-cement or rebuild the same visit so the exposed tooth is protected.
  • ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
Wisdom tooth pain, sports trauma, or a cracked filling. We'll diagnose it, relieve it, and lay out your options with no pressure.

Not sure whether it counts as an emergency? It probably does if the pain is severe, keeps you up at night, or comes with swelling or fever. When in doubt, call 385-464-6864 and describe it โ€” we triage tooth pain every single weekend.

How It Works

From that first call to relief in three steps

No app, no insurance maze, no waiting weeks for an opening. Just call.

01

Call or text us

Reach a real person at 385-464-6864. Tell us what's going on and we'll get you on the schedule โ€” often within the hour.

02

Come on in

Arrive at our Riverton office. We handle the paperwork and the X-rays, and give you a clear estimate before we start anything.

03

Leave out of pain

We treat what's bothering you that day โ€” root canals, extractions, repairs, and more โ€” then walk you through any follow-up so nothing's a surprise.

Cost & Payment

What an emergency visit costs โ€” and how to make it manageable

We know a surprise emergency comes with a surprise bill on top of it, so we keep the money side simple and upfront. After a quick exam and X-ray, you'll get a clear estimate for your options before any treatment begins. You decide what to do next.

We're a fee-for-service practice, which keeps our pricing transparent. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, your provider may reimburse you directly โ€” we'll hand you an itemized receipt with everything you need to submit a claim. And if cost is the thing standing between you and getting out of pain, we've partnered with Cherry to offer monthly payment plans, including 0% APR options, with no hard credit pull and a 60-second application.

Why Open Now

Open when the pain actually happens.

Toothaches don't check the calendar. They flare on Friday night, at Saturday breakfast, in the middle of a Sunday game. But most dental offices keep strict weekday hours โ€” leaving the ER as the only option, and ERs generally can't do dental work.

We built Open Now Dental to fill exactly that gap. We're not an after-hours triage line โ€” we're a complete dental practice that simply chose better hours. That means when you call us on a weekend, you reach a team that can actually fix the problem, not just prescribe painkillers until Monday.

Emergency FAQ

Quick answers when you're in pain

Can you see me today?

In most cases, yes โ€” during our open hours. We reserve same-day emergency slots every Friday afternoon and all weekend specifically for this. The earlier in the day you call, the more options we have, so call 385-464-6864 as soon as you can.

Do I need to be an existing patient?

No. New patients are welcome, and most of our emergency visits are first-time patients. Just call, tell us what's happening, and we'll get you scheduled โ€” we'll handle the new-patient paperwork when you arrive.

What if my emergency is Monday through Thursday?

Our scheduled hours are Friday afternoons and weekends. For a weekday emergency, leave us a voicemail or email and we'll reach out to help you find appropriate care โ€” and if it can safely wait, we'll get you in as soon as our doors open. If you have swelling spreading toward your eye or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, or facial trauma, treat it as a medical emergency and go to the ER first.

How much will an emergency visit cost?

It depends on what's causing the problem and what treatment you choose โ€” a simple repair costs far less than a root canal, for example. What we can promise is that you'll get a clear estimate before any treatment starts, with no surprise bills, plus financing options if you need them.

Should I go to the ER or call you?

For the tooth itself, call us โ€” ERs generally can't do dental work, so most ER visits for a toothache end with painkillers and instructions to see a dentist. Go to the ER first only for swelling spreading toward the eye or neck, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or a possible jaw fracture. For everything else, we get you actual treatment faster.
